SCRIPSCRIP has gotten easier! SCRIP means "substitute money." When you purchase SCRIP, you're purchasing negotiable gift certificates and/or prepaid gift cards that are used just like cash. The merchants who participate with SCRIP want to support non-profit organizations and in return ask you to support them by shopping with SCRIP at their stores. When to Use SCRIP? You can use SCRIP to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn money for St. Bernard School. Why Use SCRIP? When you purchase SCRIP through St. Bernard School, you get HALF of the school earnings your family contributed to be used for one of three fabulous rebate options: tuition, book fees, or lunches. Example: If your family shops using SCRIP and spends $5,000 in a year and the school profits $400, you get HALF of those earnings, or $200, to use towards one of the three rebate options for the next school year. If you do not have children attending St. Bernard School, your earnings can go towards the school's general fund, or towards a designated school family. Example: Your grandchildren attend St. Bernard School and you would like contribute towards their family rebate. When setting up your family account online, designate your grandchild where indicated; or, if using a paper form to place an order, write the child's name on the form where indicated. |
