School InformationWhat St. Bernard Has to Offer St. Bernard Catholic School is a place where children learn about God's love and forgiveness. We pride ourselves in being a partnership teaching Christian values, and enriching the curriculum so every child has the opportunity to excel. The school is supported by the parishioners of St. Bernard Catholic Church financially, spiritually and through many volunteers. At St. Bernard School students are offered a Christian-based education in which they are able to grow in faith. They are given opportunities to serve each other and their community by participating with feeding the hungry, sharing toys with others, using their talents to bring joy to people of all ages and proclaiming God's word. The students (grades K-6) attend Mass twice a week where they sing, pray, read scriptures, and listen to explanations of the Gospel. In addition, they attend a religion class where they develop an awareness of God, learn to live like Jesus, form their conscience, and gain a deeper understanding of the history of the Church as well as the revelation of God throughout the Old and New Testaments. Curriculum Highlights St. Bernard School offers the following for their students:
In addition, students are offered various enriching educational opportunities. Students participate in Imagination Day, Academic Fairs, Earth Day, Battle of the Books, Symphony in Color, a monthly Principal's Challenge and a spring Talent Show. They also work with local artists on special projects, take field trips, have an annual Thanksgiving Feast, attend Educational Outreach Programs at the Honeywell Center and assist with community service projects.
